How to recover/ reset/ change forgotten administrator password in Windows 7?
























In the stressful life, we face different types of issues and problems day in day out. No wonder that people keep on forgetting the administrator account passwords. In this article, we are sharing some methods that can be helpful to recover, reset or change the forgotten administrator account password in Windows 7.


Note:-  Following methods should be used only if you lost your admin password in your system. Don’t use these methods to access other’s systems without permission.

Method 1:- Using Password Reset Disk

If you know about the “Password Reset Disk”, you must be aware that it is the best option to recover the forgotten password.

Windows 7 and other Windows versions allow you to create a password reset disk which helps you to recover or reset forgotten password. If you built a password reset disk in the past, you can use that disk to recover the forget admin password.

Method 2:- Using  “Net User” Prompt Command

It is a really easy and the best way to recover the lost password. For this method you need a Windows installation disk and one simple command line. 

1:- First you need to boot from Windows disk. After that, choose the “Repair your computer” option.












2:- Click on “Command Prompt”.












First you’ll want to type in the following command to backup the original sticky keys 
file:







Then type or copy the same command prompt executable (cmd.exe) which you typed earlier.
















Now, you can reboot the computer and reset the password by using Net User.

After the reboot process, you’ll get the login screen then press <shift key> 5 times to open administrator mode command prompt. 



Now, for replacing the Password and username with the new, just type following command:

net user_username_newpassword

For example:-
net user_John miller_123miller


If all is done, now you can login.
