How to fix internet explorer crashes

Internet Explorer crash is an irritating problem. Sometimes Internet Explorer crashes every single time you start it and an error message is flashed.. There can be two reasons for such Internet Explorer crash: browser add-on / extension(s), and malware.

Manage browser add-on 

Step 1:- Open Control Panel, open Network and Internet, then click on Manage browser add-ons. 

Step 2:- Click on Manage add-on option.

 

Step 3:- You will see ‘Manage add-on’ tab. clicking on it will take you to the Toolbar and Extensions category. Under that, select all the add-ons that are enabled, one by one; and then click the Disable button to disable them until you detect the add-on causing the issues.

  

After that, restart your Internet Explorer normally. The problem mostly gets resolved by undertaking these above steps. If Internet Explorer starts normally, without crashing, you will need to reset browser setting. This is helpful to resolve variety of other issues.

Reset Internet Explorer’s browser Settings

Step 1:- You will need to reset Internet Explorer’s browser setting to the defaults to solve many browser problems.

Start Internet Explorer and open Internet option window from the Tools menu or gear menu.

 

Now, under the Internet Option window, select ‘Advanced’ tab and click ‘Reset’ button to reset the browser.
